A New Model for Environmental Institutions
We go beyond the binary of academic institutions versus community organizations by weaving together decolonial scientific research and frameworks for climate change, transformative education and community activation, and fair nature/climate solutions for maximum impact.
Earth Science for Wise Action
We investigate how social inequality and extractive economic systems have shaped climate change and ecological dysfunction at local to global scales. The insights we generate help us to create just solutions towards effective land stewardship, just sustainability intervetions, and ecological reparations for colonized and oppressed populations.
Enriching Communities for Resilience
The Critical Ecology Lab provides interdisciplinary environmental education resources and programs, and hosts community experiences that mobilize socioeconomically oppressed populations in strategic locations towards liberatory climate action.
